Bodice made from vintage Irish Linen tablecloth
Hand embroidered with green clovers & cut out details.
Super soft due to being washed so many times
Precious mother of pearl buttons from granny's tin.
French seams or bias bound seams throughout.
Scalloped edge hem and collar for a feminine touch.
Measurements:
Bust - 36.5" or 94cm

Length (side of neck to hem) - 18" or 46cm

Due to the age of the materials some of the green embroidery thread has worn away in some places along the edge, and I've repaired the delicate cut out panels where there are clovers in a kind of cut out window.
Other than this the materials are in good condition and I feel confident they're strong enough to last a good few years. Old materials are often better quality than new.
This is an exceptional piece of historical handiwork, made by 3 women with different skills.
One made the crochet lace that adorns the edge of the table cloth that was made into the sleeves.
One made the amazing embroidery on the body, and then I combined them, ready to go on new adventures and get out of the house!
This is something that deserves to be seen and felt.
